ACOIN Stall in 73rd AIOC 2015:

​

An attractive stall of ACOIN was displayed within the premises of 73rd Annual Conference of AIOS held at Hotel Ashok Samrat Complex, New Delhi. The stall was there during all the days of the mega event from 5th to 8th February (THU-SUN) 2015.

 

Governing Council of AIOS is kind enough for last more than 10 years in allotting a suitable space for the display of a stall of ACOIN in a prominent place within the conference area of the annual conference of AIOS and ACOIN likes to thank the authorities of AIOS in continuing the same. ACOIN is dedicated in improving its activities within the conference area in the years to come.

 

276 people visited the stall and were happy in sharing their thoughts with ACOIN officials. Good number of delegates also enrolled their names as life member of ACOIN. Hony treasurer Dr. Sudipta De with his usual gesture arranged distribution of snacks from the stall to the attending delegates.

Managing Committee Meeting of ACOIN in the board room of Oudh Restaurant in Hotel Ashok on FRI 6th February was attended by 44 members of ACOIN:

Continuing with the tradition the Governing Concil of AIOS allotted a nice board roon for conducting the managing committee meeting of ACOIN in the venue.

 

The meeting was attended by 44 members and decisions were finalied regardin the arrangement of ACOIN 2015 at KGMU Lucknow. List of awardees for the coming year was also decided.

Exclusive CME of ACOIN Earns large attendance by the delegates: SUN 8th Feb. 2015

The CME started exactly at 11.30 am with screening of the theme video and finished by 1.15 pm. The 1 hour 45 mins. scientific programme on SUN 8th February 2015 was attended by more than 50 delegates. Almost all the super specialties were covered in this Ophthalmic Panorama.

 

Special mention of the orbital tumours by Prof. Apjit Kaur and her team from KGM University Lucknow and Homocysteinemia and occlusive disorders by Dr. Archana Teresa Philip from Coimbatore must not be missed.

The presentation about his research work amongst the workers of the rice mills in Burdwan district of West Bengal by Dr. Purban Ganguly, a PGT in Burdwan Medical College earned huge applause from the audience. This research work is actually being conducted under the "Research Grant for the PGTs" programme of ACOIN.

This year the Governing Council of AIOS was kind enough in allotting a scientific CME of ACOIN within the scientific programme schedule of the annual conference for the first time. ACOIN is grateful to the LOC and AIOS in this regard and a special mention is apt for Dr. Satyajit Sinha, Org. Secretary and Dr. Lalit Verma, Chairman, Sc. Comm, AIOS. ACOIN is determined to improve this exclusive CME in AIOC as perfect as possible in the years to come.
