This is an association consisting of eye specialists, optometrists, scientists and other personalities interested in the works community ophthalmology. This organisation nurtures the activities of Continuing Medical Education and Surveys in and around India involving the SAARC countries.

There are more than 458 members at present.

Advocacy of community amd clinical ophthalmology is the main aim of this Society.

One annual conference every year and multiple CME and Surveys on the  distribution of eye disordersn within the villages are the ongoing activities of this association.
