Surprising gamers
I used to think mobile gaming spenders were mostly teenagers with too much free time and their parents’ credit cards. But it turns out the reality is a lot more surprising. Older adults, especially those who play casual puzzle or strategy games, are actually some of the biggest spenders. That really blew my mind because they don’t fit the typical “gamer” stereotype at all. It just shows how easy it is to misjudge without looking at the data. I came across an article https://www.techygossips.com/2025/07/unexpected-demographics-of-mobile-gaming-biggest-spenders.html called The Unexpected Demographics of Mobile Gaming's Biggest Spenders that dives into this exact topic, and it really made me rethink how the market works. Anyone else find it weird that the demographic we least expect is the one spending the most?

That’s an interesting observation, I never really considered older players as big spenders. It does make sense though, since they usually have more money to spend.
