What exactly does REM sleep mean?
Hi everyone, I’ve been reading more about sleep cycles lately and realized there’s a lot of discussion around REM sleep. From what I understand, it’s the stage where dreaming happens and the brain becomes more active again.
But I’m still trying to fully understand the rem sleep meaning and why it’s considered so important for memory and mental recovery.
Has anyone here looked into sleep stages or tracked them with a device before? I’m curious how much REM sleep people usually get and whether improving it actually makes a noticeable difference in how rested you feel.
